I decided it is prime time I give this baby blog some quality time.

First off, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Thurayya and I am a restless soul. Initially, I thought this blog would serve as a personal diary... well I mean, I did not plan on telling anyone about it, now, I realize this could serve a greater purpose. Instead it should be my public diary, where anyone interested ( which I'm sure will be few) can read all they like about the intricate thoughts of an 'eccentric' 17 year old girl. As of late, I have not devoted any time to the diary in my drawer. Unfortunately, it has been quite neglected and I think it will remain that way. Although, I do enjoy the beauty of words written on paper, this just seems a lot more permanent and a lot less 4th grade. I have been a faithful diary-keeper since the 3rd grade, of course I was not always organized and certainly not as articulate;Still, I was faithful and true to my diary. For me, writing has proven to be the purest and most effective therapy. It allows me to release whatever emotion within that I feel needs to be recorded. The greatest pleasure I have in diaries, is the ability to look back later and read what I felt and what state of mind I was in. Another reason why writing is my favorite pastime, it allows me to read as well! Which, happens to be my second favorite pastime...Anyways, its interesting to see how many phases one goes through in life. It's beautiful and terrifying, whilst exhilarating all at the same time. People spend their entire lives searching for immortality, when it is at the tips of every ones fingertips!
